Here they are...22 quilt blocks

OK, I am now nearly all the way caught up. If I simply make two blocks a day for a few days I'll be right on schedule. Here is what I have so far.I like some of them a lot more than others. Some didn't look like I thought they would once they were sewn up, and others looked better than I thought they would. Some may not make it into this quilt. Nearly all..OK, all of the fabric I used so far are from scraps that my sister-in-law has passed on to me. She makes Peek-a-boob nursing covers and has great taste in fabric. I get to make all kinds of fabulous things with the scraps she gives me. So I have to say a big THANK YOU MICHELLE! And if you like the fabrics I've used, and you or someone you know has a baby, you should really go see Michelle's stuff. She's awesome.

I am so behind

I really wanted to be better at this. But I am not.....oh yeah, you might want to know what I am talking about. About three weeks ago, a blogging friend of mine alerted me to this idea of a one a day quilt-a-long. I thought it was a great idea, something that would be easy to do, after all, all I have to do is sew one quilt block a day. So I went here and got all the info and such and signed up for the fun. I was starting about a week later than everyone else. But I figured I could easily catch up....not so much. I have all the squares cut out and even set aside together for each block. But I don't have a single one sewn. Today, I think I should be sewing block number 25....yeah, that ain't going to happen. Hopefully I will get some of them sewn this afternoon. so I have a picture to share with you. I know, it really shouldn't be this hard.

Just the thing for spring

Isn't this a fabulous thing? It is a Carseat Canopy. It is light weight and loose fitting. Perfect for keeping the sun and wind off of baby and to give privacy to a sleeping baby. It velcros to the handle of your infant carrier so you don't have to worry about it falling off or blowing away. I saw it on one of the many crafty blogs that I read(I can't remember which one it was so I can't even give credit where credit is due). I thought it looked super easy to make, so I gave it a try. Here is the shot of the inside.I will have these for sale in my Etsy shop(soon) or on my facebook group(now) for $30.

*****UPDATE******
Here is a link to the blog that gave me this great idea, The Sproutz Store. I am so glad that I could solve this blog mystery so that I could give proper credit where it is due.

Another Give-Away!

Not me, but my sister-in-law is doing a give-away over at Peek-a-boob Nursing Covers. I love her nursing covers. She has such great taste in fabric. She is really so awesome. Even if you don't need one, I think that you should still go over and enter, because I know that you know or will know somebody that is going to need one, they make really great gifts! So really stop reading and head on over there.

And the winner is(drum roll please)......

OK, Here it is, the moment we have all been waiting for. I decided to go all technical and I found a random number generator widget(on my side bar). So I plunked in the numbers(there were a total of 64 entries), and it came back with the number 25. So what does this mean? well I assigned numbers to each of you according to the number of entries that you each had. For example Jaime had a total of 19 entries(she invited a lot of people and a lot of them joined. THANK YOU!) her numbers were 18 through 36 and wouldn't you know it 25 is right in the middle. I think it is only fitting that she is the winner. Congratulations! Jaime you are awesome! You really helped my group grow and have sent business my way! I think you need to send me your address again, so when you read this(or get my message) send me a message and I'll get your goods in the mail. I hope you are super excited, I know I am!
